Waterbus

With the Waterbus you can combine your cycling or walking tour with a relaxing cruise through National Park Weerribben-Wieden. Bicycles and dogs are allowed on board.

Sailing route
The Waterbus sails between Bezoekerscentrum De Wieden in Sint Jansklooster, Blokzijl and Giethoorn:
Sint Jansklooster - Blokzijl (approx. 1.5 hours each way)
Sint Jansklooster - Giethoorn (approx. 1 hour each way).

Blokzijl used to be located on the Zuiderzee and has a rich history, still visible in its harbor and center. Giethoorn is the most famous water village in the Netherlands and a popular attraction.

Blokzijl: Juliana van Stolbergstraat 1, near school 'De Schutsluis'.

Good to know

Buy your ticket online, from the skipper or at De Wieden Visitor Center in Sint Jansklooster.

Remember to give your phone number when booking so you can be informed in case of any changes.

The outside deck is wheelchair accessible.

Sometimes the boat cannot sail due to weather conditions. In that case, do not wait longer than 15 minutes and if in doubt, call Visitor Center De Wieden at 0527-205660.
